North Herts Vegetarians and Vegans are an ever expanding group of like minded people. Formed at the beginning of 2008, we recognize the need for a local group to socialize and promote a cruelty free lifestyle. We will meet to network, socialize and campaign for animals and the environment.

North Herts Vegetarians and Vegans exists to provide support for all vegetarians and vegans in the area and those aspiring to this lifestyle . That support is in the form of:

1) Providing a framework for social networking between vegetarians and vegans in the North Herts area, by arranging meetings and events to bring people together.

2) Encouraging and promoting vegetarianism and veganism in North Herts by the means of information stalls, library displays and dialogue with local government, the local community and local businesses (such as restaurants).

3) Campaigning locally on issues related to vegetarianism and veganism, such as those involving animal welfare, ethical food production, and the impact of diet on the environment.
