Circus demos against Bobby Robert’s animal circus in Hitchin - 6 demos, well attended.
Invite from the Young Indian Vegetarians to the Hare Krishna Temple nr Watford for guided tour and meal.
Talk on circus animals @ Club 85 Hitchin.
Group open meeting @ Club 85 Hitchin.

National Vegetarian Week stall @ Stevenage.
Hitchin library display.
Pub social meet in Willian.
Meeting with Peter Lilley, M.P.
Walsworth Festival group walkabout.

Rhythms of the World - group stall in aid of the ‘Alternative Animal Sanctuary’.
Talk with local council about the ‘Compassion Charter’.

World Vegan Day Extraveganza held in Ickleford with food & live music,
in support of Tower Hill Stables.
Cow & Hen campaign in Hitchin for Animal Aid - local press coverage.
Council talk on circus animals.

Meat Free month stalls for Animal Aid, in Letchworth & Hitchin.

Rhythms of the world festival Hitchin We had 2 wonderfully sunny
days to try and make an impact on the good folk of Hertfordshire,
and others from further afield who came to celebrate the world music
that this festival has become famous for.

Aug 09

North Herts Veg group picnic
was held at the beginning of August, and the weather managed to stay
dry if somewhat cloudy. Six new people came along to make the total
just under 20 so a great time was had by all!
